Inside Nagasaki Tram

  • Inside Nagasaki Tram 00:00

This is the recording of the inside of a Nagasaki Tram that I rode from Nagasaki Peace Park Stop to Shinci Chinatown, May 9 2019. I can listen to many sounds in this tram: the sound of the hydronic piston door that makes a psssst sound, the announcement that sounds polite and calm, the sound of the windows shaking, the sound of the engine, children talking to their mothers, and the conversation of other passengers.

From children, students, young adults, and even senior citizens, everyone uses the tram. Quoting a worker in the hotel I am staying in, “here, tram is a way of life!”.
